At 10 in the morning on January 23, 2020, government officials in China announced the implementation of the "Wuhan Closure Order". On the evening of the 23rd, Berlin time, I logged on to many platforms in China, such as WeChat and Weibo, and felt a hysterical panic as tens of millions of people frantically snapped up daily necessities, especially masks, before they were imprisoned. In the blink of an eye, all the stores and pharmacies were out of everything. As a result of the severe shortage of masks, people used sanitary napkins, diapers, grapefruit shells, clear plastic bottles, etc. instead of masks.

At the same time, I also visited the website of the People's Daily, which has a circulation of more than 10 million copies - the most authoritative mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, comparable to Pravda in the former Soviet Union. 據新書《武漢》記載：2020年1月23日上午10點，中國官方宣布實施“武漢封城令”，本地所有公交車、火車、飛機、地鐵和船隻全部停運，近九百萬居民均被告知不得離開——至次日上午10點，湖北省的鄂州、黃岡、赤壁、仙桃、枝江、潛江、咸寧、荊門、當陽、黃石、當陽、恩施、孝感等城市也相繼宣布實施類似封城令

我在柏林時間的23日傍晚，登陸了中國國內微信、微博等多個平臺，感受到茫茫一片歇斯底裏的恐慌，幾千萬人在被囚禁之前，瘋狂搶購生活日用品，尤其是口罩。轉眼間，所有的商店和藥店就什麽都沒有了。由於口罩嚴重短缺，民眾就用衛生巾、紙尿佈、柚子殼、透明塑料瓶等等代替口罩。

同時，我也登陸了發行一千多萬份的《人民日報》的網站——它是中共最權威的喉舌，地位相當於前蘇聯的《真理報》。《人民日報》頭版要聞有：
